Leòn, Spain
The city of Leòn is the capital of León province in the autonomous community of Castile and León in northwest Spain. Its population of 136,985- makes it the largest municipality in the province, accounting for more than one quarter of the province’s population. Its urban area population is calculated at 204,212. León is famous for its Gothic León Cathedral and many other monumental buildings, such as the Real Colegiata de San Isidoro, (which holds the Royal Pantheon, a mausoleum in which medieval Kingdom of León’s royal family members were buried.

This is a small airport, with only one agent. A new terminal is under construction, and will be done January 2011.
Agent has very service minded staff, which are extremely helpful. The books crew hotel, organizes rental car for passengers, forwards catering requests and so on. A good advice is to give agent a call after you’ve send e-mail, and make sure they’ve understands what you require. Everything has to be payed with VISA Card- agent takes you to office for landing fees and for catering, so don’t worry. Also have to pay with VISA Card to the Fuel Service on the apron when refuelling. Price is average: 170-180 € for handling fees included landing fees.

Recommend booking through www.booking.com or hotels homepage. Depends on the €, and how much it’s worth in your valuta. The price is average 70€ for one night (not incl. breakfast). Rooms are nice, and has internet. A restaurant is located on 1’st floor, and hotel located in central Leòn. Hotel is not non-smoking, so you might find a few people smoking in the restaurant or other places in the hotel. Rooms you get are non-smoking if you want!
Nice hotel for crew! Recommended.
Taxi
Taxi from airport to downtown Leòn takes 20 minutes, and average price is 25€. Driver can pick you up at the hotel for the return to the airport, if you make a deal with him. Price is the same!
