Kristiansand is a city, municipality and the county capital of Vest-Agder county in Southern Norway. Kristiansand municipality is the 6th largest in Norway with a population of 80,109 as of 1 January 2009. The city was named after its founder King Christian IV in 1641. The last element sand refers to the sandy headland the city was built on.

This is a nice, small airport. There is no handling agent, other than SAS ground handling. Avinor helps you through the gate in/out from Appron. Nice staff and very friendly.

Recommend booking through their homepage. This is a hotel chain in Scandinavia which is very well known, and they have a very good standard. Nice rooms, and good food. Price is average: 750-1200 NOK. Highly recommended!
